SMARTWARE SCADA Server Edition

  • The highest priority task of this software is to interact with hardware devices (modules) through standard protocols and so it has an extensible architecture to add new and third party protocols. Currently well-known protocols like
    • DeviceNet
    • EtherNet/IP
    • Modubus (RTU (COM/USB)¡ ASCII (COM/USB), TCP)
    • OPC (Server & Client)
    • DNP3 (RTU/Ethernet)
    • MPI
    are implemented enabling the system theoricaly to all kind of PLCs.<
  • The second capability is to provide other systems like SMARTWARE SCADA Workstattion Edition, SMARTWARE SCADA Workstattion Edition or SMARTWARE SCADA Web Server with realtime data from devices.
  • It also compares those data against predefined alarm rules and raises or downes the alarms and feeds these alarms also to client systems.
  • Collected data is also persisted in a Database Server (ex. SQL Server on Windows OS) and then it will be used bySMARTWARE SCADA Server Synchronizer to create long-term archive.
  • To support redundancy, maximum 2 servers are allowed to be existed in a SMARTWARE SCADA Package. They always monitor and gather data from network but only the Main Server saves collected data to database. The redundant server will gains control on Main Server failure after 2 seconds.SMARTWARE SCADA Server Edition
  • The software acts also like a Modbus & OPC server and third party programs could use this software as a bridge to hardware device.
  • All settings (like Module, Alarm and Tag definitions, scripts) are done using SMARTWARE SCADA Workstattion Edition.
  • On Windows operating system, the server is implemented as a windows service and a console programs is provided to control the service.SMARTWARE SCADA Server Edition
